1. Who we are

dmvpermit.com is operated by RetenzAI ("we", "us"). dmvpermit.com is a free DMV permit practice test site and a marketing property for PermitPop, an affiliated RetenzAI product.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what you voluntarily submit through the lead capture forms on this site:

• Phone number (yours and/or your parent's)
• Email address (yours and/or your parent's)
• The US state you selected for your practice quiz
• Your practice quiz score (if you completed the quiz)
• Basic analytics data (pages viewed, referring source, device type) via Google Analytics 4

We do not ask for your legal name, home address, date of birth, Social Security number, or payment information on dmvpermit.com. Payments happen on permitpop.ai, which has its own privacy policy.

3. How we use your information

• To send you or your parent information about PermitPop, DMV test tips, and related content you opted in to receive
• To analyze and improve dmvpermit.com
• To measure the effectiveness of our marketing (aggregated, not tied to individuals)

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your contact info with unaffiliated third parties.

4. Third-party services

We use the following service providers. Each has their own privacy practices:

• Supabase — stores your submitted contact info securely
• Vercel — hosts this website
• Google Analytics 4 — site analytics
• Resend / Twilio (when we launch outbound messaging) — email and SMS delivery

5. Children's privacy (COPPA)

dmvpermit.com is intended for users age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit your information through our forms. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has submitted information can email us (see Section 11) and we will delete the record promptly.

6. Cookies & tracking

We use Google Analytics 4 via first-party cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You can opt out of GA4 tracking with Google's opt-out browser add-on. We do not use retargeting, ad networks, or behavioral advertising cookies on this site.

7. Data retention

We keep submitted contact info for up to 24 months after your last interaction. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 9).

8. Data security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Supabase encrypted Postgres). Access to submitted data is limited to authorized team members. No system is 100% secure; by using this site you acknowledge reasonable but not absolute security.

9. Your rights (CCPA, CPRA, GDPR-lite)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal info we have about you
• Request deletion of your personal info
• Request correction of inaccurate personal info
• Opt out of future marketing messages
• Non-discrimination for exercising any of the rights above

To exercise these rights, email us (see Section 11) with the subject line “Privacy Request” and include the phone number or email address you submitted. We'll respond within 30 days.

10. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you via email if we have your contact info.
