Terms of Service
Effective: April 16, 2026 · Last updated: April 16, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
By using dmvpermit.com (the “Site”) you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
2. What we offer
dmvpermit.com is a free, ad-free DMV permit practice test. Questions are written by us and sourced from publicly available state DMV driver's handbooks. dmvpermit.com is a marketing property for PermitPop, an affiliated RetenzAI product.
3. Not affiliated with any DMV
dmvpermit.com is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any state Department of Motor Vehicles or equivalent agency. Our practice questions simulate the structure of real DMV permit tests but are not the actual test.
4. No guarantee of passing
Passing your state's real DMV permit test depends on many factors. We make no guarantee that completing our free 10- question practice quiz will result in a passing score on your actual DMV exam. For the PermitPop Pass Guarantee, which is a separate product and has its own terms, visit permitpop.ai/refund-policy.
5. Accuracy and updates
We make reasonable efforts to keep our practice questions factually correct and aligned with the 2026 driver's handbooks for each state. However, laws change, handbooks get revised, and errors can slip through. For definitive answers, always consult your state's current DMV driver's handbook. If you find a factual error in one of our questions, please email hello@permitpop.ai.
6. Permitted use
You may use this Site to:
- Take the free practice quiz for your own study
- Share links to dmvpermit.com with friends, classmates, or family
You may not:
- Scrape, copy, or republish our questions or content without written permission
- Automate submissions to our forms (rate limits and abuse detection are active)
- Attempt to breach the Site's security or interfere with its operation
- Use the Site to harass other people or submit intentionally false contact information for others
7. Communications opt-in
When you submit your phone number or email, you're opting in to occasional messages about PermitPop and DMV prep. We don't spam. You can unsubscribe at any time — every email has an unsubscribe link, and SMS messages support reply STOP.
8. Minors and parental consent
This Site is targeted at prospective permit holders age 15 and older and their parents/guardians. If you are under 18, you're encouraged to have a parent or guardian review these Terms with you before submitting contact information. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 — see our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Intellectual property
The design, code, written content, and compiled question bank on dmvpermit.com are the property of RetenzAI, except where sourced from public state DMV handbooks (which remain the property of the issuing state agency).
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RetenzAI's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of the Site is limited to $50 USD. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to failing your DMV permit test.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Contra Costa County, California.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Your continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
